On a Bridge with Nowhere to Go

The Law Firm of Pajcic & Pajcic currently has pending three cases of wrongful death which occurred within the last year when big trucks ran amok on Jacksonville bridges. Two of the wrecks occurred on the Buckman Bridge on I-295.

John Doe drowned when his pick-up truck was literally run off the bridge by a speeding, out-of-control bobtail tractor which had swerved across two lanes to avoid a step ladder which had fallen out of the back of another commercial truck.

In another Buckman Bridge case Richard Roe was killed by a tractor-trailer which veered into his lane after its steering wheel came off in the driver’s hands.

Joe Public was killed on the Dames Point Bridge when a dump truck ran over both Joe’s broken-down vehicle and a police car with its blue lights flashing in the break-down lane of the bridge.

In all of these crashes the victims might have been able to avoid the trucks if they had not been on a bridge with nowhere to go. Unbelievably, the insurance and trucking companies have not yet taken responsibility for these killer trucks. Stay tuned to future newsletters.
